About Me
I am an Associate Professor in the School of the Environment at Trent University in Peterborough, Canada. My research inhabits the intersections among political ecology, human-animal relations, and environmental justice.
I have two current research projects.
Wolves in Canada
Following from Villain, Vermin, Icon, Kin, I am developing a new project that explores how we might build more empathetic responses to canids in Canada. I have recently partnered with Dr. Valli-Laurente Fraser-Celin and The Fur-Bearers to conduct a nation-wide survey on attitudes and knowledge about wolves in Canada. You can find more information about that survey here.
Environmental Justice in Peterborough
I also am principal investigator in a community-partnered research project about environmental justice in Peterborough, Ontario. You can find our more about that project here.
